About Advait

I’m someone who enjoys sketching things on paper, or drafting an outline before turning it into something people can actually use. I’ve always had a thing for optimising how I spend time. When I’m locked in on a project, I focus on finding the most productive way to get it done, whether it’s through tools, or just staying in the zone till the job’s finished.

Three things to know about me

  • • I’m a Formula 1 enthusiast. Race weekends are my reset button and I love the element of strategy and teamwork that comes into play in this multi-billion dollar sports industry.
  • • I love working across disciplines and combining multiple passions together. My favourite projects come from taking pieces from different places like tech or music and blending them into something new.
  • • I’m a visual thinker. Most of my ideas start as messy squiggly lines or doodles before becoming fully-fledged projects, or even my coursework assignments for that matter.

How I work best

  • • Headphones on playing deep focus music with 15 minute breaks every hour and a half, unless I feel like it would break my flow.
  • • Side doodles and sketches help me connect the dots and understand my workflow from every perspective.
  • • New campus spots keep me motivated to study. During midterm season, you’ll never catch me at home.

Why I Build

A timeline of moments that shaped my projects — from empathy to experiments.

Spark

Watching the Special Olympics with my dad

I was moved by the athletes' determination and dignity. That night I wrote: build tech that serves, not just impresses.

Outreach

Reached the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority

Turned empathy into action: proposed tools to support caregivers and reduce invisible friction in daily life.

Project

Project Pinguinus begins

Prototyped milestone tracking + caregiver-friendly UX. Learned that clarity is kindness.

Opportunity

Built a digital twin for a government official

Hours of interviews, articles, and notes → a data-backed clone to improve stakeholder response time.

Method

Neuro‑symbolic mindset

Blend logic with learned intuition. If people can explain decisions, so should our systems.

Experience

Slide through the timeline — each stop expands with context.

Cybersecurity Software Engineer

Worked on Kamal Mirage — an autonomous endpoint protection system where every device operates collectively to detect, validate, and neutralize threats in milliseconds.

  • Built distributed, self-healing defense architecture with no cloud dependency and no single point of failure
  • Engineered collective threat detection across device networks — each node shares intelligence to validate and respond autonomously
  • Focused on millisecond-level response times and resilience under adversarial conditions

UAE

Learned how large systems move: coordination, timelines, and decisions under constraints.

  • Analytical thinking with messy real-world data
  • Coordination across teams and priorities
  • Documenting decisions + tradeoffs

Currently exploring

  • • Started working with ESP32 development and FreeRTOS to upgrade our Formula SAE team steering wheel firmware, handling input from buttons, and a TFT display.
  • • Analysing Formula 1 performance data, to create a race predictor, with which users can adjust race conditions.
  • • Mapping domains (health, education, law) for smarter search and reasoning using Neo4j for knowledge graphs.

What’s next

  • • Gaining hands-on industry experience where I can contribute to projects while learning how ideas are scaled in practice.
  • • Getting closer to hardware by learning more with C and memory-efficient code.
  • • Designing ways for AI tools to complement human decision-making.
  • • Exploring cloud and distributed systems to understand how large-scale systems can handle speed and reliability.
